About this bot

In short: This bot periodically checks whether a certain link is present on a web page and send you a notification if something goes wrong.

How to monitor link presence: Video tutorial

Watch me explain how to use this link monitoring bot as well as two more SEO tools:

How to monitor your backlinks?

As the name suggests, this tool will help you check if a certain link is present on a given webpage. Thanks to Link Presence Monitor, you will be able to instantly find out if an interlinking setup is broken, a merit-based link is deleted, etc., allowing you to quickly address the issue with the publisher.

Setup

Enter the following parameters:

  • The URL you’d like to check for
  • The host URL which should contain the link

Please make sure that you follow the exact original URL structure (including all subdomains) when entering the links.

Next, configure the notification frequency:

  • Once or twice per day;
  • Once or twice per week.

Choose whether the bot should stop running on a certain date or work until turned off manually.
Select the preferred notification delivery method out of the following options:

  • E-mail;
  • Slack;
  • Telegram.

Finally, you may choose if the bot should still send notifications if there are no issues detected and whether it should automatically self-terminate on detecting an error or continue running.

Advantages of link-monitoring

By having third-party publishers post the links to our websites, we seek to attract new users and clients, boost our website’s link mass, increase traffic and raise user awareness of our content. If a merit-based link you provided disappears (which can happen through no fault of the publisher), it’s bound to reflect poorly on your website’s performance, which is why you may want to monitor the link’s presence via this helpful little tool.

To use this bot you need to register or log in first.
